The foundation of this bracelet is very thin blue plastic thread, acting as the weft - wound tightly around a bamboo base. Fulani women artisans in the most rural areas of Mali create, completely by hand, the extraordinarily detailed patterns by intricately weaving a design with a contrasting color - white - as the warp. This quality is rare; the level of detail and beauty of each bracelet is stunning. We are unable to achieve by our photography an accurate representation of the fineness of the detail of these amazing very thin bracelets.
